Beginning around 11:00am today (Tuesday, October 6th, 2009) aDSL customers in the Hampton Roads area (including Williamsburg, Newport News, Hampton, Norfolk, etc.) were affected by an outage preventing them from logging in to their DSL connections. Windows users frequently received error 720 or 738. We are aware of the problem and have reported it to the appropriate parties. Telephone company technicians are currently working on the problem. We expect the problem to be resolved shortly. We will post any additional information we receive here and on our telephone system's message.
We apologize for the inconvenience and assure you that we are following the situation closely. As always, until the DSL outage is resolved, DSL customers may still connect to the Internet using the backup dialup access that is included with DSL accounts.

Around 2:00pm some customers began to successfully login. The outage appears to be partially resolved. We expect that it will be completely resolved soon. Customers in Williamsburg and Newport News have reported successful connections.
